Beastie Boys Passes Gallery

Notes: Who can forget the stunning performance the Beastie Boys gave us on that spinning stage at the 1994 MTV Music Awards Show.
This pass which was used at Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY was set aside to be used by those performing that night.

Notes: Here is another very rare laminate pass style that was created with the intent of being worn by those touring as part of the band's inner circle. Pictured on the pass are images taken from the Ill Communication cd booklet.

Notes: Used for the 18th of June in Birmingham, England.

Notes: Although the band did not play very many dates while in Italy, this pass was created specifically for their time in that country. It uses the Check Your Head Glen Friedman cover photograph, but the familiar HAZE style lettering is absent.
This was the type of pass actually worn by members of the band, not to be confused with a working crew pass.

Notes: This All Access pass was used exclusively for the show in Los Angeles on November 24, 1992.

Notes: Perhaps one of the most unique Beastie Boys tour passes, this one depicts a "pimpishly" dressed gentleman and thus provides us with the sexual innuendo (while at the same time a play on words) Check Your Shaft instead of the Check Your Head.

Notes: This pass actually was stamped "Beastie Boys" to be worn by a band member. However, it could have just as easily been stamped "working" or "VIP". It is one of the more generic multi-use passes from the 1992 Check Your Head Tour.

Notes: 1992 Beastie Boys Check Your Head Local Crew pass
These passes were created to be used either by photographers (noted at the top) or by stage/security crew members that were hired locally.
Usually when you see this style pass the top has been scribbled out with a black sharpie marker and then dated. This means that it was not used as by photographer.
When the Beastie Boys road crew rolls into your city, they usually employ a group of local venue security guys as well as local stage hands to help set up the production.

Notes: This laminate pass is different from the more common sticker backed fabric patches that are used on some tours for VIPs. A VIP (very important person) can be anyone from an old friend to a family or band member. For example, this pass would more than likely have been the type worn by Ione Skye if she had attended one of Adam Horovitz's concerts in 1992.
