Run DMC Action Figures

"I Keep My Underwear Up With A Piece Of Elastic
I Use A Bullshit Mic That's Made Out Of Plastic" - Sure Shot

It seems that everyone has their own Action Figures these days, so why not the old school crew from Hollis, Queens.

So far, there are 3 different sets of Run DMC figures to collect, all of which were created by Mezco. The images are courtesy of Mezo and KidRobot.com.

Released prior to the tragic death of Jam Master Jay last year, Mezco released the first set of Run DMC figures to a select few to purchase. Limited to 300 sets worldwide, they were only available to members of 'Club Mez' and expectedly sold out quite quickly. The series #1 figures had all 3 in adidas tracksuits, unlaced adidas shoes (of course!), removable hats, glasses (DMC + JMJ) and gold chains. DMC and Run both came with a microphone while JMJ came with a vinyl record.

The Series #2 figures were made available to the general public and featured generally the same figures expect this time the tracksuits were replaced with leather jackets and jeans.

At 8" tall they have excellent detail to them, but if you're after something a bit smaller (and cheaper), there is also...

These mini figures, which are also produced by Mezco, stand at just under 3" tall and again come with cool accessories. Two microphones like the larger versions, but even better than before, this time you get a full mixing desk for Jam Master Jay.
