Beastie Boys Tour Diary:
Fans tonight were treated to the talent of Z Fresh, the beatboxing 4 year old straight outa Indiana. Brought up on the Fat Boys and Run DMC, Z Fresh brings back the old skool with a twist only a four year old can give it. Coming on right before the last song of the encore, Z rocked about 7 measures and then realized "Oh shit, there's over 13,000 people watching me do this" and got a little quiet. Yauch and Adrock joined in and Z started up again, rockin a good 4 year old song for the Horizon crowd, who all cheered with good natured appreciation. Z Fresh, a little startled by the roar of the crowd, tore off stage and leaped into her dad's arms. "Z was frontin' on the mic tonight," commented Yauch, "but we're bringing her back in San Diego for the whole set."
